Goal Setting For Beginners

On my way out to Tesco this morning I had the urge…

So I sat down in front of the computer and recorded this

Goal Setting For Beginners

It really amazes me that people will spend more time planning for a weeks vacation than they will in planning their business outcomes.

In my view it is simple… if you do not know where you want to end up how on earth are you going to get there?

Take time to work out

  • what you want
  • why you want it
  • what difference that it will make to you and your loved ones
  • what you are prepared to do to get it
  • when you want it by

When you have all that figured out , we can work out how you do it together, as the old saying goes,

The man that knows how, always works for the man that knows why

It really is not rocket science… if you want to achieve something by a given date, then writing it down, on a time frame, with marker points to check if you are on track… up to the meat aisle by 10.30… If you can apply the same discipline to your business you really start to move on …

  1. Yep, absolutely correct, not sure why you wouldn’t want to spend your whole day at Tesco

  2. I’ll admit, I’ve been guilty of freezing when asked what I want to have achieved in 6 months time. It amazes me how much time and effort I put into preparing a party for family & friends yet not into setting goals that will directly benefit my own future. Thanks for the reminder. Really enjoyed your video.

  3. We can receive good advice but don’t do anything with it if we aren’t ready.
But if we are ready we will go for it a 100%.

Thanks Carina… I do think people get worried when they hear goals… but just like your shopping list … it allows you to focus on the outcome πŸ˜‰ KOKO
